Some of the designs below illustrate that the machined components are not always part of the finished article. Having the mold, or plug for molding, machine cut can often lower the total cost, by reducing the amount of hand finishing required or using less material. Machining even the simplest of components becomes feasible when repeats are needed, or if the design is a prototype and further units will be required after testing. At 2MZ a one-off design gets as much attention as a large order and we can often juggle work in-progress to fit in new projects with steep deadlines.
